Democratising Strategy for the Benefit of Everyone
Our purpose is to make strategy knowledge and skills accessible to all types of organisations, regardless of type, size, colour or shape.

Why we founded Open Strategising
At Open Strategising, we founded our company to address a simple but urgent problem: strategy, as traditionally practised, is often inaccessible, disconnected, and ineffective. Many organisations, regardless of size or industry, struggle to turn strategy into meaningful action. Strategy is either left to a few experts or buried in static documents, creating uneven results and missed opportunities. We saw an opportunity to change that by making strategy a more inclusive, practical, and democratised process.
Democratising strategy for fairer competition and better results
Open Strategising is fundamentally a democratisation project. Externally, it aims to level the playing field so that organisations of all sizes can access knowledge and tools that enable fairer competition. Internally, it empowers more people within organisations to engage with strategy issues. By including diverse perspectives, we create solutions that are not only richer and more innovative but also foster ownership and engagement across organisations.
Navigating complexity, focus on acceleration
The challenge organisations face is not just speed but complexity. Climate impact, geopolitical shifts, customer behaviour, demographics, and economic forces interact in ways rarely seen before. Strategy must therefore focus on prioritisation and coherence rather than acceleration. Organisations cannot do everything; success requires identifying where to excel, making choices, and committing resources wisely.
From plans to action
Traditional strategy often fails because it is static and disconnected from operational reality. Our approach emphasises actionable outcomes. Leaders gain clarity about priorities, accountability, and how to integrate strategy into everyday work. By combining structured processes, iterative learning, and systematic follow-up, we ensure strategy is realised, not just written.
A systematic, question-based method
Our strategy method to make strategy a verb is iterative and question-based, covering four themes: Aims (what we want to become), Arenas (where we operate and how we fit), Affairs (how organisational choices create success), and Actions (how we work to strategise effectively). The focus is on process over content: making the right decisions is important, but real value comes from realising, learning, and improving.
A unified ecosystem: Academy, Software, and Advisory
Open Strategising is more than a method; it is an ecosystem. Our Academy trains people across organisations, developing both knowledge and skills in strategy work. Our Software provides a structured, intelligent environment to apply the method, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality assurance. Our Advisors support teams when challenges arise, offering guidance and coaching to ensure effective strategy realisation. Together, these elements create a holistic system where learning, doing, and refining strategy happen simultaneously, making the organisation capable of navigating complexity with confidence.
Looking ahead to the 2026 launch
In 2026, we launched our unified method openly, supported by 15 years of research and practical refinement across over 100 organisations in more than 25 industries. With our software, advisory support, and training programs, we provide organisations with the tools, knowledge, and processes to take ownership of their strategy, today and tomorrow.
We look forward to working with organisations ready to rethink strategy as a dynamic, inclusive, and actionable process – because effective strategy is not a privilege; it is a practice everyone can and should engage in.
