Running yet a prototype with Kirunabostäder's leadership team

We're pleased to share an update on the development of the Open Strategising Software prototype: we recently held a strategy synthesis session with the leadership team at Kiruna Bostäder. This initial run helped us test the software's ability to facilitate a shared view of the organisation's business environment and industry dynamics (part of the Arenas strategy theme).

The Open Strategising Software is designed to provide a systematic approach to strategy, helping organisations utilise both internal and external knowledge. The main purpose is to make the method efficient, interactive, and inclusive, thereby creating greater knowledge and more time to strategise. The cloud-based tool supports organisations in working to ensure their strategy is effective and quality-assured, and that it drives decisions.

A key challenge in strategy is not just performing analyses, but effectively synthesising different analyses to understand how they relate. The prototype run was essential for testing this function. The software aims to facilitate the collaboration between its features (which include AI agents to support effective strategy work) and the team's organisational knowledge. We have worked through numerous iterations on how strategy data is clustered and presented. This refinement assists the team in organising diverse information on the external environment and internal adaptation, moving discussions toward prioritising the most crucial issues and defining clear directions.

This prototype run demonstrates the software's capacity to facilitate organised, internal strategising and supplies us with invaluable learnings working with end users. A big thanks to Jörgen Svonni and the leadership team at Kirunabostäder for providing valuable feedback.
